Survival is no longer enough.
Bloober Team presents extended gameplay footage from Cronos: Lazarus, the upcoming DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn. The gameplay takes a deep dive into Pathfinder’s new skills, weapons, and threats in his youth.
The new b-roll footage offers an extended look at Cronos: Lazarus following the DLC’s hands-on debut at gamescom. The Tracker, a new type of Traveler, has been deployed by the Collective to hunt down Pathfinder following their rebellion. This pursuit introduces a new source of tension: the pressure of being hunted. Building on the survival horror foundations of Cronos: The New Dawn, the DLC combines faster-paced combat against familiar enemies with encounters that demand a more tactical approach when facing the Tracker.
The result is a more visceral, intense style of gameplay that doesn’t lose the identity fans appreciated in Cronos but instead builds on it. It strikes a careful balance between familiar survival tension and fresh new mechanics.
Pathfinder’s new abilities introduce additional tactical options in combat. Teleportation allows him to quickly change positions, helping players evade danger and outmaneuver enemies. Decoy leaves a ghostly copy of Pathfinder behind to draw enemies’ attention while he moves away, creating an opportunity to reposition.

Gladius is a new, much more powerful weapon that the Pathfinder will yield. It is a much deadlier version of the dagger from the original game, providing greater fire rate and damage, which it owns to piercing bullets.
Cronos: Lazarus is scheduled for release in Fall 2026 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Cronos: The New Dawn is currently on a 40% discount on Steam, while the Deluxe version is on a 45% discount until October 23rd.
Defy the calling. Bring her back.
