Bloober Team has announced that Cronos: Lazarus, the upcoming DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn, will launch on December 3, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, priced at $9.99. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow in the first quarter of 2027.
Cronos: The New Dawn is the first survival horror game from Kraków-based studio Bloober Team. Since its release, it has stood out in the genre thanks to its distinctive setting, fresh approach to gameplay, and original merge mechanic, which allows enemies to fuse into increasingly dangerous forms.
The game’s success is also reflected in numerous industry accolades. At Digital Dragons 2026, Cronos: The New Dawn won three awards, including the prestigious Game of the Year title. The game also recouped its development costs within just nine months of release. In June, during the Summer Game Fest, the studio announced the next chapter in the story.
Cronos: Lazarus returns to the dark sci-fi horror universe of Cronos: The New Dawn, expanding on the story introduced in last year’s original. This third-person survival horror builds on Bloober Team’s signature blend of oppressive atmosphere, intense encounters and resource-driven survival, with faster-paced action and more aggressive combat that demand quick thinking and tactical precision.
Players step into the role of the Pathfinder, an agent of the Collective, uncovering the events that led to his tragic transformation into the Warden. Standing in the Pathfinder’s way is the Tracker, a relentless envoy of the Collective tasked with hunting him down before he can complete a revival mission the organization must never uncover. Set before the original game, the DLC explores Pathfinder’s past and reveals new details about the Collective and the consequences of defying its authority.
To survive, players will wield new abilities, including teleportation for rapid repositioning and a decoy that distracts enemies while briefly rendering the Pathfinder invisible. The expansion also introduces the Gladius, a faster, deadlier weapon than the original game’s dagger.
