Bloober Team presents extended gameplay footage from Cronos: Lazarus, the upcoming DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn. The gameplay takes a deep dive into Pathfinder’s (The Warden) new skills, weapons and threats in his youth.
The new b-roll footage shows a first extended look at the DLC following the games first hands-on at Gamescom. Cronos: Lazarus focuses on different playstyle players know from Cronos: The New Dawn, the gameplay focuses on fast-paced action and tactical approach. Pathfinder gameplay blends dynamic, fast-paced action with a more tactical layer of decision-making, it is no longer just about survival, but rather pursuit. The core of the DLC is positioned deeply within survival horror mechanics with pressure-driven encounters. The Tracker embraces the pursuit as a solider deployed by the collective that will provide a new threat, much more challenging than the enemies known so far.
The result is a more visceral, intense style of gameplay that doesn’t lose the identity fans appreciated in Cronos but instead builds on it. It strikes a careful balance between familiar survival tension and fresh new mechanics.
The new abilities include the teleportation ability which will allow players to relocate themselves within the set area, helping to avoid a group of enemies or outmaneuvering them. Another new skill is a decoy, it allows the pathfinder to leave his ghost in the current position and move leaving a ghost copy behind. Gladius is a new, much more powerful weapon that the Pathfinder will yield. It is a much deadlier version of the dagger from the original game, providing greater speed and damage. Cronos: Lazarus is scheduled for release in Fall 2026 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
