Today, Bloober Team unveiled a new DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn. Titled Cronos: Lazarus, the expansion is set to launch this fall on PC and consoles. It places a stronger emphasis on combat, shifting the experience from slow-burn survival horror toward fast-paced, action-driven gameplay.

The DLC will follow the footsteps of the most recognizable and requested character of Cronos: The New Dawn, the Warden. He’ll be a fully playable character, and the expansion will follow his story in his prime and journey from pathfinder to the Warden we know today. This is not a side chapter; this is the missing piece of lore that contains Warden’s evolution and undisclosed information about the collective. His character will have a unique set of skills, different from the ones seen in the original game.
Players will wield the Warden's power, evade a relentless pursuer engineered to stop you, and complete a revival mission the Collective must never uncover.
Key features of Cronos: Lazarus include:
- Play as one of the Collective’s elite agents and witness their brutal transformation from Pathfinder to Warden.
- Experience a faster, more aggressive take on Cronos’ survival horror formula, with combat defined by speed, pressure, and constant danger.
- Harness new weapons and abilities unique to the Warden, including decoys that allow you to move quickly through danger.
- Face the Tracker, a powerful and persistent new threat whose sole purpose is to hunt you down and eliminate you.
- Uncover a darker, more personal story centered on one of Cronos’ most intriguing characters, filled with rebellion, inner conflict, and the cost of defying the Collective.
