Enter the New Dawn as a Temporal Diver.
The time has come for all who have waited — your prayers have been heard, and Bloober Team has answered. Cronos: The New Dawn is getting a new difficulty level! The new mode, Temporal Diver, will launch in early 2026 across all platforms. Immerse yourself fully in the world of Cronos with the original soundtrack, now available on Steam, accompanied by a new ambient music video that brings every haunting melody and tense moment to life.
Invitation to The New Dawn has been extended to those in favour of steady exploration. The Temporal Diver Mode will have players take the more explorative approach, mildly different form the current game mode. The story with its all elements remains the same with main changes happening to enemy and Traveler health. In the Temporal Diver Mode enemy health will be halved while Travelers will be doubled. This will provide plenty of opportunities for a little smoother progression for those whose gameplay style is story orientated rather than diehard action. This is not to say the game has lost its survival grit, the fast-paced action and all the elements of the game remain in place, only the health will be adjusted in this mode and after completing it players are more than encouraged to replay it on the standard difficulty (Anvil of the Collective) for the full power survival horror experience.
The already existing hard mode — Forged in Fire Mode unlocks after completing the Anvil of the Collective walkthrough and it is currently the highest difficulty where players will go headfirst gun blazing and leave no orphans behind.
All Modes:
- Temporal Diver Mode (NEW!) - Increased player health and reduced enemy difficulty.
- Anvil of the Collective - Standard difficulty.
- Forged in Fire Mode - Unlocks after completing the Anvil of the Collective playthrough and is currently the highest difficulty setting.
Christmas is fast approaching, now you can get full version of the game at a 25% discount at our winter sale across all platforms: Steam, Epic, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Nintendo Store, and GOG. The full version of the game will get the free Temporal Diver Mode update in early 2026.
