Survival is no longer enough.
Bloober Team unveils the first gameplay footage from Cronos: Lazarus, the upcoming DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn. Alongside an adrenaline-fueled first look at the expansion, the debut Developer Diary dives behind the scenes with the development team, revealing fresh gameplay mechanics, new protagonist abilities, and the creative vision driving the next chapter of the Cronos universe. Jump into the heart of the action with the fan-favorite Warden.
Players will play as the most recognizable and requested character from Cronos: The New Dawn, the Warden. Following his footsteps in his youth, players will step in his shoes as the Pathfinder, an agent of the Collective.
The new footage shows the behind-the-scenes development in a dev diary followed by first gameplay footage of the new DLC. Wardens' new abilities and playstyle are different from the ones that players know from Cronos: The New Dawn. The Pathfinder gameplay focuses on fast-paced action and tactical approach, it is no longer about survival, but rather pursuit. Pathfinder gameplay blends dynamic, fast-paced action with a more tactical layer of decision-making. While it remains rooted in survival horror mechanics, it expands the experience with elements of pursuit and pressure-driven encounters. The result is a more visceral, intense style of gameplay that doesn’t lose the identity fans appreciated in Cronos but instead builds on it. It strikes a careful balance between familiar survival tension and fresh new mechanics.
The teleportation ability will let players pick up a certain spot within the location perimeter and quickly spawn there. This ability may prove extremely useful while trying to avoid groups of enemies or outmaneuver them by teleporting behind their backs.

Another useful skill is a decoy, which leaves a ghost of the character in the last place he stands, it gives Pathfinder invisibility for a few seconds. With this move players can focus enemy attention on the copy instead.
A new weapon, a much more powerful one, has been introduced, Gladius. It is a much deadlier version of dagger from the original game, providing greater speed and damage outburst.
Except for new skills and weapons there are also new threats, not your regular enemies but rather a new envoy has been deployed by the Collective. A rather special type of enemy designed specifically to hunt, and in this case on a mission to hunt down the Pathfinder.
Cronos: Lazarus is scheduled for release in Fall 2026 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
