Bloober Team Unveils an Exciting Birthday Surprise: An Official Layers of Fear Song Co-Created with Acclaimed Polish Singer Natalia Szroeder

In October, Bloober Team kicks off its 15th-anniversary celebration! To mark this special occasion, the studio has teamed up with famous Polish vocalist Natalia Szroeder. Together, they have unveiled a fresh rendition of the iconic track "You Are My Sunshine," accompanied by a dark, enigmatic music video that immerses fans in the eerie world of Layers of Fear. But the excitement doesn't stop there - this month, the game will be receiving a fresh infusion of exciting new content.

Fifteen years ago, Bloober Team studio made its debut in the gaming industry. Since then, it has transformed from a small studio of just a few people into a major global brand, earning recognition for award-winning horrors such as The Medium, Observer, Blair Witch, and Layers of Fear. It has also become the developer of a highly anticipated remake of the iconic horror game 'Silent Hill 2', in collaboration with the Japanese gaming giant Konami.

To celebrate 15 years in the industry, the studio has prepared numerous surprises for fans. It all kicks off with the premiere of a music video and song set in the universe of Layers of Fear – a game that has significantly influenced the genre of horror through its deep and multi-layered storytelling. "You Are My Sunshine" is the result of a collaboration with well-known Polish artist Natalia Szroeder and represents a fresh interpretation of the iconic American song, which in the past has gained fame through the work of Johnny Cash and Aretha Franklin. This new version of the song blends ethereal vocals with gentle piano melodies, enriched by subtle electronic elements.

A beautiful music cover is accompanied by a dark video directed by Piotr Babieno, inspired by the world and themes of the game. Both the film and the game depict the artist's complex relationship with art. It's a stunning visual feast that reveals the immense dedication hidden behind the pursuit of perfection.

Together with Natalia, we wanted to create something special. Natalia is one of the most talented young singers in the music scene, and it was very important for us to hear her voice in this new interpretation of the song because we believed it would add a mysterious character to it, and it certainly did. Fans know that 'Layers of Fear' is a tribute to artists, and this goal accompanied us both in the process of creating the cover and the music video. The relationship with art can be beautiful but difficult. Striving for greatness always requires sacrifice. I hope this will be a pleasant gift for both the game's fans and Natalia's fans. I'll add that this is a unique year for the studio, and we are preparing many birthday surprises for our community.

Today, the song and music video will debut on the game’s official channels, as well as on the artist's channels and on streaming platforms. In addition to this music video, the studio is proud to announce that new and free content is coming for owners of the Layers of Fear game, which will be made available on October 24, the studio's birthday.
