The Medium nominated in four categories at Digital Dragons Awards

The Digital Dragons Awards’ winners will be announced on May 16. During special gala we will celebrate some great games from the past year in Polish game industry. The Medium from Bloober Team will have a chance of winning a title in categories related to design, art and soundtrack, as well as becoming the “Best Polish Game”.

Digital Dragons is one of the largest B2B game industry conferences in Europe, organized by the Krakow Technology Park since 2012. The anniversary edition, taking place on May 16-17 at the ICE Krakow Congress Centre, will include lectures, Q&A sessions, discussion panels, attended by many gamedev experts, as well as the Digital Dragons Awards Gala - annual awards ceremony honouring achievements in the video game industry.

This year, Bloober Team has been nominated in 4 categories for its biggest game so far – The Medium, which gives players the opportunity to plunge into two parallel worlds – the real and the spiritual one, full of terror and nightmares. The dystopian surrealism and excellent graphic design, inspired by the works of Zdzisław Beksiński, were appreciated by the jury of this year's edition of Digital Dragons, who nominated the game in "Best Polish Design" and "Best Polish Game Art" categories.

The unique music soundtrack, created by Arkadiusz Reikowski and Akira Yamaoka, were also recognized and nominated in the "Best Polish Original Soundtrack" category. The Medium will also compete for the win of the most important title - "Best Polish Game", which would be a great honour for the Polish studio, summarizing several years of intense work of everyone involved in the production process.

It's hard to predict what will happen during the gala, but the fact that we have 4 nominations is a great honour. The Medium is very important project which we are very proud of. This game has made us feel that we are on the right track and as a studio deeply related to horror games, we can do great things and reach for even more. I'm very excited for this year’s Digital Dragons event. I'm glad that it takes place in Cracow, which brings together the entire industry in one place for two days.

The winners of Digital Dragons 2022 will be announced on May 16 during a special gala. The two-day conference will feature a Bloober Team stand in the exhibitors' zone. During the lectures session, studio representatives will also appear as speakers. Danuta Psuty, an experienced Level Designer, will talk about the organisation of script wrting process. Piotr Babieno, the CEO of Bloober Team, will take part in a discussion panel on investing in gamedev industry.
